So glad this song is getting its due, George Frayne is a monster on the piano and his band was great. How about adding ‘Mess Around” by Ray Charles to the list of greats. Keep Rockin!
Yes – “Mess Around” needs to be on the list. There are so many great versions of “Mess Around”- Ray Charles, Dr. John, Professor Longhair…
Wow! Amazing Band and amazing Piano! Love to learn that!
Would love to see Elton John’s song: Levon as a lesson
Thanks for the suggestion. We’ll add it to our wish list!!!
Previously, I mentioned Ian Armit playing on Long John Baldry’s
Conditional Discharge, but I forgot to mention that Ron Wood played on the album. He would remember Ian, if Chuck is interested.
Also, the song I would like most to learn on the piano is Statesboro Blues. There is part of an instructional video by Chuck, online and it
is amazing the way he shows it. I learn better from video like that, than notes, and if it was broken into parts, it would be amazing!!
Thanks for all the songs!
Love the Long John Baldry song. Ian Armit can play the blues! Thank you for the Statesboro Blues request. We plan on rolling out a series of videos on common rock techniques and fundamentals. The first series will be on “12 bar blues piano”. We are also currently writing lessons for “Wild Horses” , “Stormy Monday” , “Let’s Spend the Night Together”, “Nobody Know You When You’re Down and Out’” and “Statesboro Blues”. Keep rockin!
