Learn how to play a Basic Country Piano Rhythm
This video teaches a basic country progression alternating between the I and IV chords using G and C in the key of G. It begins by teaching a very common left-hand country rhythm pattern alternating between the I and V of each chord on the down beats and playing the major triads of each chord in the right-hand on the up beats. This is the basic the foundation of country music.

Beginner:
Play the chords in the first inversions in your right hand. Play the root of each chord in your left hand.
Intermediate:
Play the chords in all inversions in your right hand. Experiment with left hand bass lines using the notes of each chord.
Advanced:
Experiment by improvising using different scales in the right hand. The G pentatonic scale is a great scale to work with.
